All things
glass...from traditional, functional and wearable to fun and
funky.
I love to
find scenes in nature that can be portrayed in glass.
Many of my pieces are memories of places iI've been - or
settings that one day I hope to travel to. My home, with
floor to ceiling windows facing into a mature forest also
provides me with plenty of inspirations. For those
looking for functional products, I offer a variety of fused
glass bowls and platters, pendants, coasters, magnets, wind
chimes, tangram puzzles and much more. I'm looking
forward to once again seeing and chatting with all my regular
visitors and perhaps meeting some new
guests.

Elizabeth is inspired by the muted
colours and gentle landscapes of southern Ontario, and by the
monumental beauty of the American Southwest. She also has a
passion for architecture, urban scenes, both ancient and
modern signs and symbols, and idiosyncratic visual
juxtapositions. She makes stunning nature, landscape,
architecture and eclectic photographs, and prints on both
canvas and archival photographic paper. Elizabeth is excited
to participate again this fall in the On Common Ground Art
Tour.

Many unique turnings from
bottle corks to bowls.

Once
again, Mel is delighted to be a participant on the studio
tour. Mel uses many different woods, domestic and exotics, to
create a multitude of shapes. With his new lathe he can turn
larger shapes including hollow or deep turnings, bowls, vases,
burr wood etc. Some items may combine woods, for instance,
vases from beautiful domestic woods that are tipped with
exotic woods such as ebony, bleeding heart, purple heart,
padauk and others. Seldom are two items the same in size or
shape. Available woods generally dictate size, shape and
function.
