Henderson Home studio at Domville,

and Karen create unique unique accents for your home and
garden from agricultural items.

The process begins by gathering unique
agricultural pieces often from the horse-drawn era.
These pieces are collected from auction sales, by invitation
to old barns or by "pickers". Items are disassembled,
cleaned, painted and re-purposed . Any lumber that is used is
selected for its interesating grain and
colour.
Steven and Karen also reuse barn boards
and mouldings in their sunbursts and bird houses.
Broken rakes, hoes and shovels become birds and
frogs.
All discarded materials are combined to
create conversation pieces for the home and
garden.

Mary Street 613-925-3987 purplepatchpat@hotmail.com An
experimentalist of different fibres and materials, and a keen
sense of texture equals artistic pieces.
 My creativity stems from an
innate desire to marry my quilting heritage with my love of
different fibres and textures. Sources of stimuli vary
from day to day - gardening, listening to the radio, or
conversations with friends andd family. I allow my daily
interactions with nature to influence the works I
create. The results provide me with a sense of peace and
deep satisfaction as I am able to capture those moments with
fibres and quilting, each piece a testament of the unique
blend of the two approaches.
