Celtic
inspired pottery for your home – bring beauty to “everyday”
Creating in
clay allows the rich unknown within Debbie to emerge into visible
form. Carvings emerge on her wheel-thrown pots as if they lay sleeping
in the clay, waiting to be coaxed out. Debbie glazes with high quality
colours named sea, moss, amber, earth, cream and plum that complete the
organic nature of her pieces and combine together to recall the Celtic
seasons and solstices. She aims to create pottery that brings beauty to
everyday life with strong emphasis on form and function. Drop by for a
visit – Debbie’s studio is open year-round by chance or by appointment.

Loretta Moore - Hooked on
the Lake

hookedonthelake@kingston.net
Traditional
hand hooked rugs, runners, chair pads, purses etc.
Loretta
collects new and recycled woolen fabric and clothing which she hand-dyes
in primitive, aged colours. She then cuts this into long strips
which she hooks through various backings – primarily primitive linen and
scottish burlap to create floor mats, table runners, unique purses,
pillows, tea cosies etc. Loretta’s goal is to recreate the look of
antique naive rugs of old using wide cuts and folkart designs. For those
who would like to try this heritage art form she also makes kits and
teaches beginner rughooking and dye classes.

Detailed
watercolours depicting the intricacies and wonder of nature.
These
detailed watercolour paintings speak of nature’s cycle of life. Each
painting is a study of the colour and essence of an instance of the
world, and beauty of nature. The frames are fashioned so that the
paintings are tipped on a background allowing space for a twig or leaf
to become an integral part of the story.

Re-purposed
items made into accents for home and garden.
Steven
and Karen use mainly recycled wood and steel to create interesting
additions to your home and garden. Steven gathers his materials from
fence rows, auctions and friendly referrals. Steven takes apart the old
steel and re-purposes it into flowers, birds and furniture. Old barn
board, or mouldings are made into bird houses and butterfly houses.
Karen finishes the creations with paint and stain.
